Food Across Africa
There is a terrible shortage of food across Africa and thus we have starvation. In most villages children only have one small meal a day. Yet Africa is one of the richest continents for natural resources in the world. Organizations bring in food and supplies to feed African’s and help keep them alive but if this were the solution then the problems would have been solved long ago. Most of the farmers are on small farms and the chief tool is the hoe.
Plow and a couple of Oxen
The plow and a couple of oxen are far more efficient and produces more food. The simple, and only viable solution to not having enough is to produce more. In the end this will be the only solution to poverty – produce more. The solution seems simple – just give them oxen and a plow. But this isn’t the full solution and so doesn’t fully fix the problem of poverty. Why are they still using the hoe in farming in the first place? Why have the poor people of the world failed to evolve their economy?
Tractor
With a tractor one person can do the work of a hundred and farming is so much more productive that it would seem simple. Just give them a tractor and with enough tractors no one will go hungry. But this is still not the full problem. This doesn’t answer why a people didn’t evolve industrialization. If you give a poor farmer a tractor, don’t be surprised a year later to find it sitting in the field rusting. To fully fix the problem you must address the mental factors.
What Are The Mental Factors?
Things like drive, determination and responsibility are just a few of the mental factors because
they are in the mind and aren’t some physical thing that can be made in some factory.
The decisions of the person determine their actions and their actions determine how productive they are and so what they have.
Their is no true solution to poverty without solving these factors. The great breakthrough is that these mental factors can now be addressed and GREATLY improved and this fact has been proven by much experience in this area. While this doesn’t immediately wipe poverty from the land it does have an immediate effect and improvement can then be also hastened by other steps that would not work before. If you give someone a tractor for instance and they have these mental factors resolved they will have well plowed and tended fields with massively increased production. This is not empty theory but has been proven a hundred times over. Just look at the incredible results when our programs are applied in the field.
